Welcome to the Niagara Regional Campus; chosen as a distributed medical education site for its community setting and the opportunity to strengthen healthcare through learning and educational innovations.
McMaster University’s Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine opened its Niagara Regional Campus in 2008, to address the shortage of physicians; enhance patient care; improve research and education capacity; and foster collegial relationships across communities through collaborations with Niagara healthcare leaders. This commitment has created a rewarding learning atmosphere for our medical students.
Our students have felt warmly welcomed by the people of Niagara in all municipalities. Community members, leaders, and healthcare workers alike see the importance of local teaching to ensure high-quality care for all Niagarans. The long term success and sustainability of this initiative is due to the enthusiastic support and dedication of Niagara physicians to share their expertise and wisdom with our students.
Explore our website and discover Niagara’s local teaching, research and innovation initiatives, along with our inter-professional collaborations with Brock University, Niagara College, the Niagara Health System, and other community partners.
Join us at the Niagara Regional Campus; we’re making a difference for our students, faculty and healthcare community.
